I totally get your vibe on this subject. I just threw out my 5-year diary. I was so sick of looking over my own shoulder to make sure I’m doing life ‘right’. I have a real need to give myself some slack and believe more in the inspiration of the moment. Besides, I don’t struggle with commitment or procrastination.

I track my habits too! I just started this year and I only track 3: cardio, lifting, and books finished. I've found it satisfying to look back at the month or year and see what I accomplished. I chose these because they were important to me, and also because I had talked to friends about them and we track similar habits together. We use HabitShare, and we get notifications when our friends or accountability buddies track their habits too. So that gave it a fun, social aspect that I've enjoyed.
