I really enjoyed this dive into Bonsai! I'm less familiar with them and their genealogy, and curious how/why they remain so tiny without their roots bursting through the pots?
The pot is stronger than the roots. But you do have to repot to a bigger pot once the root ball fills the current pot. But it usually takes two years to several years to fill a pot with roots.
